It's a long term goal, this potential hobby farm in my head. It's something I never really thought I would have the opportunity to dabble in. But now, with this new house, I have a chance.
A handful of chickens, honey bees, vegetable growing, more efficient maple syrup making. If we have kids and they are interested in 4-H, maybe a calf or two for a period of time.
This page will evolve into a "one stop shop" for those interested in the goings-on, but in the mean time...
...I want to be clear; despite living in a house that happens to sit on a farm, I'm not a farmer, and neither is my husband. My father-in-law and brother-in-law are farmers, and I won't ever insult their hard work by calling myself the same, regardless of the future materialization of a wee hobby farm one day.
Stay tuned!
