Fall Pinterest Challenge

In case you haven't noticed, I'm a frequent reader of Young House Love. I'm pretty sure they're the second biggest celebrity crush I've had since the Backstreet Boys. Annnnyway, they're hosting (along with a few other bloggers!) a Fall Pinterest Challenge. It's a chance to stop pinning and start doing! Because by now most of us know that it's so easy to feel creative while browsing Pinterest for hours, but not actually doing anything yourself.

I created a new Pinterest board specifically for this challenge. You can check it out here. I decided that I wanted to make a Christmas centerpiece. But, the traditional pine cone, cedar bough, and tall candle versions aren't my thing.

With an idea in mind, I hit up Michael's. And holy cow - don't ever go to Michael's without a coupon in hand. Seriously. Your wallet will cry. Despite spending way too much money on crafty goodness, I had a lot of fun throwing this together.

The metal basket actually came from Goodwill, for a whole $4.04!

Have you ever made anything from inspiration you got from Pinterest?

  2. The only reason mine's done already is because I'm going to be away at a work conference for the rest of the week! Ha.
